Improve the efficiency of managing a project’s clash results with this easy-to-use tool, which works well with Navisworks Clash Detective to quickly isolate clashes in particular sections of a model by clash status and/or level.
Clashes can also be sorted by clash count, so objects with the highest clash counts can be investigated first. The flexibility of Clash Manager allows for information to be exported to Excel, or registered as a view with iConstruct ReviewTRACK for further management.
Needless to say, managing clash results data can be a painstaking and time-consuming endeavor (note the 432 clashes in the example below).
However, using Clash Manager allows you to apply sorting rules and cleanup clash results data into a more manageable task – all based on Navisworks sorting properties (see below).
Likewise, managing duplicate clashes and/or clashes that should be grouped as one clash is made easy by using options such as “Skip duplicate clashes” and/or “Proximity Group Field Tolerance.” These unique features allow you to group clashes that are within a certain distance to each other (see below).
If grouping clashes manually is still required, a user is able to draw clash spheres in the model. Once there, the clashes can be grouped manually by just clicking on the spheres and selecting the group option (see below).
When clash viewpoints are required, you can also create custom folders directly from Clash Manager. You can then create viewpoints directly from Clash Manager, and each viewpoint will be placed in the appropriate folder (see below).
From these new folders you can also create custom view reports, which will show what progress has been made from meeting to meeting (see below).
In the end, with the features and tools available, Clash Manager can reduce the time needed to manage clashes to less than a third (note how clashes went down from 432 to 132 in the example below).
Zone Grouper for Clash Manager
iConstruct’s ‘Zone Grouper’ feature for Clash Manager overlays zone geometry within the model. With this feature configured, each clash will contain zone information that can be used for filtering and/or grouping. Save even more time managing your clash data.
