Data Links is a powerful tool that allows the user to import related information in from an external data sources and display within the Navisworks® model.
With compatibility to XLS, MDB or ODBC Data Sources, Companies can now extend information in any BIM model. The external information and properties are then displayed within the user-defined tab.
To use Data Links, you must identify an attribute which links both information in the model to an external data source. Once a relationship is established, use Data Links to map additional information between the two data sets and propagate onto your user-defined data tab. The tool can be used to apply any information held outside of the model; whether commercial or legal. All fields within the properties tab are rewritable which gives the option to re-save or export back to the original data source by Excel or MDB.
